‘Deep Dive’ Single Session Therapy
(120 minutes, online therapy)
Go to therapy they say!
But you don’t even know what therapy involves. Or maybe you do. Maybe you’ve been to lots of therapy, but it’s not giving you the experience that you’ve seen other people rave about.
I offer an innovative solution for those that aren’t sure if they need intensive long-term counseling or have a focused concern that they need help with.
In my experience, people often aren’t sure what kind of help they need – but know they need help. Understanding the difference between the different types of mental health providers and therapy approaches can be confusing! It’s hard for the average person to understand whether they need to see a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a social worker, a counselor, or a family therapist.
I have lots of experience helping people sort out what to do next when they feel lost and overwhelmed.
My focused approach integrates my expertise in targeted, scientifically proven, treatments with the overall goal of helping you get “unstuck”. In addition to the tools that I provide, I am happy to provide key strategies for sorting through the directories of mental health providers to help you find a good fit.
A major fault of our current mental health system is that as beneficial as long-term therapy is, it results in significant barriers to meeting with skilled professionals.
These sessions are offered entirely virtually, so you don’t need to worry about traffic or parking. Find a time that works for you and a private place to talk, and join me in a secure video therapy session about how to improve your situation.
A Single Session with me includes:
- A conversation with a highly-skilled, seasoned, empathetic clinician
There is strong evidence to support that just scheduling an appt with a mental health professional reduces symptoms. I find that for many, being given the space to share and unburden themselves of the pain they are struggling with, often leads to amazing pivots toward healing and a more resilient version of themselves.
- Evidence-based recommendations
- Books and Digital Resources: My recommended list of mental health apps and websites that offer further skills practice and information about the issues that you are facing.
- Referrals: Recommendations for longer-term therapy resources (if indicated) or a recommended plan for getting connected to the care that you need.

The Deep Dive Single Session is appropriate for adults who are interested in the benefits of a single session. If you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or others, this service is not appropriate and you should visit the closest ER, call 911 or reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255. If you are having worrisome thoughts, but are currently safe, this is a normal part of the human experience that I would be glad to help you address.
Rules are constantly changing and in-flux during the pandemic, so feel free to reach out if you live in another state and would like to book a Single Session.
