‘Deep Dive’ Intensive Therapy Sessions

(120 minutes or more, online therapy or in Midtown Atlanta)

You’re the One Everyone Leans On…

…for decisions, emotional support, and taking the lead.

You know how to problem-solve, strategize, and get things done—except when it comes to yourself. Lately, the momentum just isn’t there. The exhaustion, overwhelm, and emotional backlog keep piling up, and despite your drive, something keeps stalling you from executing the changes you know you need to make.

You’ve considered therapy. Maybe you’ve even tried it before. But committing to slow, incremental weekly therapy doesn’t fit into your busy lifestyle. You don’t need another task—you need a focused, high-impact strategy to recalibrate.

That’s where a Therapy Intensive comes in.

What's a therapy intensive ?

A therapy intensive is a 1:1 deep-dive experience designed for depth, clarity, and traction. These longer-format appointments compress weeks or even months of traditional therapy into a focused, immersive block of time—helping you make meaningful progress without the slow drip of weekly sessions.

Instead of the stop-and-start rhythm of traditional therapy, intensives provide the space to go deeper without feeling rushed—ideal for professionals who need to time to dive into the depths without getting interrupted or who just want to experience single session therapy.

Just targeted, high-performance therapeutic work tailored to your needs.

They’re ideal if you:

  • Are at a turning point and need support to navigate it skillfully
  • Feel emotionally overloaded and need to “reset”
  • Are ready to unstick something that’s been lingering for too long
  • Have done therapy before and want to go deeper, faster
  • Struggle to commit to weekly therapy due to time, energy, or attention constraints

Rather than fitting your life around therapy, this is therapy that fits around your life.

Interested? Let's explore more about if this is for you...

A therapy intensive may be a good fit if:

  • You’re emotionally intelligent, but lately, you feel disconnected from your own feelings
  • You’re burned out from caregiving, leadership, or being “the strong one”
  • You’ve tried traditional therapy and found it too slow or not targeted enough
  • You’re ready for a space that moves you forward—not just helps you cope
  •

What to expect?

Therapy Intensives are customizable to fit your needs and bandwidth:

  • 2-hour minimum session (most common starting point)
  • Multi-day succession model – for example, a Friday, Monday, and Tuesday series
  • Two-week structured spread – space to work, integrate, and return with momentum

This isn’t one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll choose a format that aligns with your schedule, goals, and nervous system.

Each intensive includes:

  • A conversation with Dr. P — an attentive, and empathetic psychologist, trained in skills that addresses challenges with procrastination, focus and getting things done
    • There’s strong research that simply booking an appointment can reduce distress. Being deeply heard and seen often leads to relief, clarity, and renewed motivation.
  • Nervous system regulation + mindfulness tools
    • Techniques to help you calm the mind when activated, and emotion regulation skills customized for your brain and body—not just generic advice.
  • Brainspotting (when appropriate)
    • This powerful modality helps bypass mental blocks and connect to deeper, unresolved experiences held in the body. It’s especially helpful for moving through internal “stuck points.”
  • Evidence-based recommendations and resources
    • Books, digital tools, curated strategies for your specific concerns. You’ll also receive referrals or a long-term plan if you need continued care.
  • An emotionally safe space
    • This is a space to show up fully, reflect with support, and gain not just insight but relief.

These sessions are offered virtually across 40+ states (as well as in-person for clients in the Midtown/Buckhead Atlanta area).

These sessions are not typically covered by insurance—however, FSA/HSA funds can be used, making it easy to invest in high-impact therapy without navigating reimbursement claims or approvals.

Dr. Shauna Pollard (she/her) brings over 15 years of clinical experience and 20+ years of psychological research to her work with high-achieving professionals. Her expertise in executive function, burnout, and ADHD—especially for BIPOC professionals—helps clients break free from cycles of overwork, emotional exhaustion, and high-pressure stress.
